You probably didn’t know this but we live close to Hell, as the Rosenhof is situated near the Höllengebirge (Hell Mountains). I have yet to find out how the mountains came to be known as this but the local peak, the Feuerkogel (Fire Funnel) is definitely a Hell I’d be happy to spend my afterlife in. A nicer nickname for our local mountain, which is just a 5 minute drive away from the Rosenhof, is the “saddle” which is quite apt after a day riding it! With all that powder and those bluebird skies, it was hard to wipe the smile off my face, even now when I think back to it I look like a Cheshire cat. The snow is holding up really well thanks to the drop in temperature which looks like it is set to continue for sometime.
